AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Health Minister Mohammad-Reza Zafarghandi announced that approximately 1,800 Iranians, the majority of them civilians, have been killed since Israel launched its military strikes against the Islamic Republic on June 13.
Speaking on Monday, Zafarghandi reported that the explosion in Tehran’s Quds Square resulted in 59 injuries, with 12 individuals later succumbing to their wounds. Among the victims was a pregnant woman.
According to IRNA, he added that at least 35 women and 10 children are among those who have lost their lives in the ongoing attacks.
The strikes began as part of an unprovoked offensive by the Israeli regime, which targeted Iranian territory, including residential buildings. High-ranking Iranian military officials were assassinated in precision strikes, and entire civilian areas were impacted, resulting in widespread casualties.
In response, Iran launched extensive punitive strikes deep inside Israel, hitting major cities such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa with ballistic missiles and drones. These attacks have forced residents in the occupied territories to take shelter underground for prolonged periods.
Since then, waves of Iranian retaliation have continued to strike targets across Israel. Despite heavy censorship by Israeli authorities, numerous videos have emerged showing Iranian missiles making accurate impact.
Iranian officials have reiterated that the operation will persist until its objectives are achieved.
